I am comfortable slicing from Figma/XD/Photoshop or improving legacy markup. I build mobile-first layouts, test common breakpoints, and fix issues in evergreen browsers. I avoid fragile hacks unless the business case demands them. Images, fonts, and third-party scripts are balanced against Core Web Vitals—lazy loading, font-display, and deferred non-critical JS where appropriate. The goal is a UI that feels snappy on mid-range phones, not only on a developer laptop.

Backend integration as a freelancer

Many of my clients use PHP, WordPress, or a custom CMS. I speak enough server-side context to wire templates, loops, and partials cleanly—without breaking security basics like escaping output. For API-driven or headless setups, I coordinate payload shapes and loading states with your backend developer so the UI does not lie to users during slow responses.
